HP’s cost-effective Cloudline servers target cloud providers
The company hopes to take on white box rivals with new server range HP has launched a range of cheaper cloud-based servers, designed for cloud providers to boost services to their customers. The low-cost Cloudline servers have been built in partnership with Foxconn and are designed for hyperscale environments using rack-scale computing. HP wants its Cloudline products to be used in multi-vendor environments, with the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) allowing for one place to manage everything.
